Highfield Healthcare are delighted to now offer a simple, secure and fast way for GPs to refer patients directly from your practice management system.  Referrals can be sent electronically via your Socrates, Helix Practice Manager or HealthOne systems.  It will use the HSE’s web-based messaging service, Healthlink, which provides for the secure transmission of clinical patient information between hospitals, health care agencies and GPs.

Highifield Healthcare are also accepting eReferrals with Simply visit the Healthlink website and submit a referral via your account.  Information on how to complete a referral on Healthlink can be found on their here.

Email Referrals with Healthmail

Highfield Healthcare has introduced the secure clinical email, Healthmail, to enable Healthmail users to refer to Highfield Healthcare via email. Healthmail is a service that allows healthcare providers to send and receive clinical patient information in a safe and secure manner. The domain has been tested and approved to securely transfer data enabling us to safely transfer clinical and personal data between any and any email address.

Please send a completed referral form which can be found here to

GPs that wish to continue to refer via fax can do so on 01-8865451. Faxes sent to this number are received in a secure folder on the Highfield Healthcare network and are only accessible by authorised staff.

Please print off the referral admission form here and fax to 01-8865451. Please state on the referral form which service is required for the client i.e. Outpatient appointment, Day Hospital admission, Inpatient admission.
