Highfield Healthcare is committed to providing the highest standard of care and support to all our residents. Our patients are cared for in an environment appropriate to their needs, where the priority is to preserve their dignity and promote their independence.
Care
The medical team is headed by Dr. Andrew Eustace, Clinical Director and supported by a team of General Adult and Psychiatry of Old Age Psychiatrists. Medical cover is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The general medical care needs of patients and residents is provided by the highly committed team of General Medical Practitioner colleagues in the Glasnevin Family Practice.
Specialist Nursing
The Directors of Nursing ensure that staff are aware of all the residents’ needs and that the highest possible standard of care is delivered. In the Directors’ absence there is always another senior nurse on duty. Specialist 24-hour nursing services are provided and overseen by registered nurses and supported by care assistants. The skill mix and number of nurses is based on the assessed needs and dependency of the individuals receiving care at any one time, although the core numbers will remain the same. Additional expertise can be accessed as and when necessary from continence, tissue care, stoma and diabetes nurse specialists. Others may be called upon if required.
Visiting Hours
At Highfield Healthcare we know and recognise that keeping in touch with your relatives and friends is important. We would ask that anyone intending to visit should do so between 10.00am and 8.00pm, however anyone wishing to visit outside the hours should contact the unit directly.
