This 22 bed facility has been specially developed to care for people requiring long term care.
The layout of the unit has been maximised to reduce the stresses of living in a safe and secure unit, while benefiting from the internal courtyard as well as the surrounding landscaped gardens. All rooms are single en-suite. In this unit, the emphasis is on programmed activities, where our Activities Manager has carefully selected a structured programme to maximise the delivery of care.
Elmhurst has a full time Activities Therapist who provides a broad range of daily activities aimed at encouraging social interaction amongst residents whilst at the same time ensuring that all activities are person-centred, taking into consideration the likes and dislikes/capabilites and limitations of each resident.

At Highfield Healthcare we recognise the importance of diet in the care of elderly people. We have our own catering department providing nutritious food and supplements. Our dietician will review each resident and establish an optimum diet.
